CITIZEN’S CHARTER OF THE DIRECTORATE OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION & INDUSTRIAL TRAINING, PUNJAB.

 

 

(1)             MISSION

 

 

The Govt. of Punjab created Directorate of Technical Education and Industrial Training to promote, guide and regulate Technical Institutions in the State.  The mission of this Department is to:-

 

·        Facilitate provision of quality education and training in the respective areas.

 

·        Develop strong linkage with industries.

 

·        Promote entrepreneurship development.

 

·        Promote transfer of Technology.

 

·        Continuous staff development.

 

·        Facilitate net working and collaboration amongst the institutions in the State.

 

(2)             GOALS

 

·        Promote and develop technical education in the state in planned manner.

 

·        Plan annual budget allocation for technical education of the state and ensure proper distribution among the institutions and ensure optimum utilization of funds.

 

·        Ensure standards of Technical Education.

 

·        Disseminate the policies of the Govt. with respect of Technical Education System.

 

·        Monitor the standard of Institutions and initiate corrective measures.

 

·        Prescribe the rules of recruitment, promotion for faculty and staff of the institutions and the Directorate of Technical Education and Industrial Training.

 

·        Collaborate with AICTE, MHRD and NITTTR and Directorate of other states

 

·        Support training and development of teaching staff.

       Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar is evaluating body for degree level courses

 

B.           DIPLOMA LEVEL INSTITUTES-137

 

C.        CERTIFICATE LEVEL INSTITUTES-178

 

       Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training, Chandigarh is the evaluating body for Diploma and certificate level Courses.
